Nursery School News - January 2008
Happy New Year! December wrapped up a very busy month in Preschool. All classes performed a Holiday Show for their families, the Pre-K class visited the folks at the Oakdale Nursing Home and we had another wonderful Puppet Show Performance by the Pumpernickel Puppet Theater.
January will bring in a whole bunch of winter activities for all the children. Our classroom will now transform into a winter wonderland of art projects. The children have already enjoyed playing in the snow on the playground and I am sure that there will be much more of that to come. We hope to purchase more sleds, as this seems to be the most popular activity when we go out to recess.
I would like to thank all the families who contributed cookies for the children’s Holiday Class Parties. They were all scrumptious. Also, many thanks for all the wonderful donations of the hats, mittens, scarves and socks for the children of the Kids Express program. Each child was able to pick what they wanted and there was more than enough for all. Your generous donations brought many smiles. A special thank you to Erica Kambiss (Pre-K Class). Erica and her mom made all the salads for the meal and her brother Anthony came to help serve.
We have already registered many children for the 2008/09 school year. Registration will remain open until all classes are full. The next Nursery School Board meeting is planned for Tuesday, January 15th @ 7:00pm.
